Questions - 2" lift, drive shaft, u-joints & transmission leak
I was wondering about two things pertaining to my Discovery.
1.) 2" lift + 245/75r16 tires + new bushings:
Does the above new ride height put a strain on the OEM drive shaft and u-joints? I mean, can it lead to loosening of the parts?
I recall reading an article that talked about weak points on the Discovery 1 & 2, and propshafts/driveshafts were the first issue.
Should I look in to upgrading from OEM to heavier duty due to the increase in height and geometry strains on the OEM parts?
2.) transmission leak:
Can a bad input shaft seal to a transmission leak because of the previous point?
Thank you

I was wondering about point two being related to point one? The reason being someone mentioned new angles due to lifts and larger tires can lead to more gaps on parts that weren't designed for the new geometry changes.
Thank you
Thank you
Unlikely but is possible , i have been running a 3" lift plus 265/70 or 265/75 mud's for 9 years and apart from shredding a couple of rotoflex couplings ( now converted to uni ) have found no adverse affects or leaks that could be attributed to it.
