Can you weigh it on a bathroom scale?

I can tell you that an LT230 without the eBrake assembly is right around 100 lbs. With the eBrake it's just under 150 lbs. I ship these transfer cases all the time. If you separate them they can ship by UPS.

The R380 without the bellhousing is even less than the LT230 but I don't have an exact weight.

OK, I've seen you trying to sell parts off your truck so you definitely want to know so you can ship these parts.

As far as the LT230 is concerned, go to Home Depot and find the black and yellow tote that purportedly can handle up to 700 pounds. Remove the oil temp sensor on the left side of the transfer case. Also remove the frame mount from the right side of the case. Now, put the entire transfer case, minus the eBrake assembly in the tote with the input and output assemblies facing the long way. Put the rest of the items in smaller boxes inside the tote. Put the yellow lid on, drill a few holes around the edge and use zip ties to secure everything.

Put the eBrake assembly in a 12x12x8 box with plenty of extra cardboard for support and you should be all set.

Now, as far as the R380 is concerned, measure it from front to back, side to side and top to bottom. Take those measurements with you to Home Depot and see if they have a tote the transmission will fit in. I know they have one that's good for the automatic transmission because I've shipped plenty of them that way. In the case of the automatic, you just pack the torque convertor in a separate box and they both can ship by UPS.

I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Paul

Oh yeah! Unless you have an account with a motor freight carrier you and your customer are going to get killed by the cost.

If you don't have a UPS account, don't go to a UPS Store or a UPS facility. If you got paid through PayPal by your customer, see what it might cost using them to generate your shipping labels. Because of the volume I do through PayPal and eBay I get really low UPS rates.
Cheers,
Paul

UPS Ground has a weight limit of 150lbs. delivered to either a residential or commercial address. You don't want to use UPS Freight. It will be MUCH more expensive.

FedEx Ground has a limit of 75lbs. delivered to a commercial or residential address so they won't work for these parts.
