Default rear brake squeal

well, new calipers did not fully solve the problem.

With mild/medium brake pressure my rear brakes squeal.

New pads (Akebono 518), rotors, and bearings (SKF) June 2019 (15,000 miles ago)
New calipers (AP Lockheed) last weekend.
Fully new fluid and well bled.

The only thing that has come onto the radar is the possibility that the bearings need to be re-torqued to remove possible end float.

I'm getting a little tired of chasing this problem so even if you think it is crazy, lemme hear your ideas.

I believe they make a material called disc brake quiet that is applied to the back of the brake pads and gets the pads stuck to the calipers (or pistons) and keeps them from vibrating (squeaks) worth a try anyhow

Check that the rear pads were installed correctly. The pads should have a chamfer that should face to the rear so when normal forward rotation they don't chatter or squeal.

End float was nil so that doesn’t seem to be the culprit. New Wagner thermoquiet pads with CRC disc brake red sauce on the backs did help.

I still have a small squeal on one (driver) side as I decelerate through 15-20 MPH with light pedal pressure. Really annoying.

Hardware is new and calipers are new. What the heck could it be?

smooth shiny rotors can squeal, try scuffing them up a bit with some emery cloth. jus enough to break the glazed (shiny) surface.
