Rear bumper lights?

Rear bumper lights?
My new 95 Disco (base model) didn't come with the operators manual so Rave has been excellent in solving most of my questions. The rave describes the bumper light cluster as directional light and a tailight. Is it suppose to come on with the tailights higher up (because they don't) or is it a rear fog light of sort and/or is it on a different fuse than the others? The bulbs seem to be OK. Since I'm on this topic, the higher cluster contains; tailight, brake and backup correct?

yea, they are weird i've read that there were some models with turns in the tail lights but some models didn't get wired the same so the only turn signal lights were in the bumper. there is a spot in the tail lights for turn signals, I wired the bumper turns to the tail light turns, cause I couldn't figure out why they didn't work. it wasn't til later that i found the weird enomily that left certain models without the tail light turns.

yea I found the wire for the extra bulb in the tail cluster and connected it to the wire for the bumper turns. they are both in the wire bundle that goes down by the tail lights. I can't remember if I cut the wire for the extra bulb to splice it to the bumper turn wire or left it intact and spliced them. here is where I read about the lights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_Discovery
