Default Rear differential flange/seal replacement

Hi all,

im stuck with rear diff flange bolt, i feel ill shear it if i keep trying to loosen it. I’ve searched in the forums but people refer to 3 bolt flange, well mine has 4 bolts and that bolt in the middle is super tight.

how can I loosen it up? I tried mild heating but read somewhere the thing needs to be live red?????

I'm converting to the 4 bolt flange as we speak. But mine was pretty easy to get out. Not by hand but with anelectric impact. Whatever you do just make sure you have the wheels chocked off since you have the axel disconnected the back wheels are free to move with you underneath. However you can use that to your advantage, and roll the car to a position where your breaker bar has better leverage.
