I don't know about the other brands, though I imagine they are the same, but the WIX fuel filter doesn't have a bypass. The only dirt that will get past it is smaller than 3 microns.
How you think that's worse than a 35 or 40 micron sintered bronze filter I've no idea. Those filters are for engines where fuel flow it more important than engine longevity. Just like racing oil filters and racing air filters.
