Default Right Tail Light Out on Disco 97 and Dash Light.

All my other lights work other than the Right Tail light (side light) and Internal Dash Lights. I checked the fuses around the Anti-Freeze reservoir area and they all appeared fine. The blinkers are fine the left tail light and headlights are all fine, just the right tail light and internal dash lights plus side light. Just wondering I should change the tail light bulb first to see if that corrects everything? Thanks for your help and reply and ideas.

Well, if one tail light is out and the fuses are good, the next step is to pull the bulb and replace if bad.

Thanks Chris-Bob for your reply, so if the Tail Light goes out will that also knock off the internal dash lights. Thank you,

Nope. You could just be lucky. When I got mine, I had three dash bulbs burn out and all the tail lights and turn indicators were good.

On my 97, the tail lights and dash lights would come on with the first position but die when you went to headlight on position. The fix is to replace the turn signal stalk as the switch is built in. If you are lucky enough, you can take it out, take it apart, stretch some internal spring and put it back together and some say that will work.

Mine would work once if you twisted it with pliers but fail the next time.

However, Will Tillery and Paul Grant are your best source for a good used stalk switch. Change the switch is my advice.

There is also a fuse panel under the steering wheel.

Thanks Spike I didn't check that fuse panel I will tomorrow, the odd thing the Instrument Lights were working and went off while driving, so I checked all my outside lights and noticed the Right Tail Light and Side Light out, but everything works. If the Right Tail Light shoots will that make the instrument lights quit working? Thanks for your help.

Savannah are the fuses located underneath the steering wheel for both of these? Thanks for your help.
