i started too. I cut out the aluminum and stopped there. Not sure what to stiffen it with.. Bed liner?

Nice!

How thick is the alum sheet you are using? Not sure what you could use to stiffen it, bedliner might help a little, but probably not enough to make a big difference. Will it not be stable enough once you screw it down in place?

This thread just kind of died, so maybe I can revive it with a pic to inspire. This is one of my all-time favorite Disco's.

Well I'm working in Illinois right now 800m from home. Truck made it up just fine. 19mpg with 33.5s but no time or material to do anythig.

How is everybody getting such great gas milage? I have a 95 disco and lucky to get 11..

I like the ones in this truck. the others, I'm not too hip on.
