Rover Vendors are Terrible.
And people wonder why their company doesn't succeed.
For the past 2 weeks I've been TRYING to give a company my money. All I want is a rebuild DII propshaft and new LT230 flange kit.
I've contacted GBR numerous times via e-mail. Never a single response. I've tried phoning numerous times. Finally got a person and asked if she could please do up a quote for me and would pay today. I get asked to call back? Ok. Call back repeatedly. No answer again.
I've tried Toddco suspensions. Todd always seems to reply to your first e-mail, then he dissapears. Never any further replies. Never answers the phone.
I'm not trying to warranty anything. I'm not trying to bitch about an order. I have zero history with either company yet neither seem interested in taking my money.
Ridicilous.
Honestly the ONLY decent Rover parts vendor I've dealt with is BPUtah (RoverConnection). Those guys are awesome. Everyone else should take a page or two out of their book.
Does anyone know any other places that sell rebuilt DII propshafts?

Call great Basins back, let them know you are calling from Canada, if you get the lady, that is the owners daughter and she is smarter then all the Rover Gods combined, other wise ask to Bill Davis, he is the owner.
If you don't get in touch with some one, get back to me with your number and I'll shake up Bill for you.

Get a Tom Woods before it destroys something.
Not knocking Tom Woods, but I did read that his is primarily for off-roading and if you use your Rover on the highway that is is not good for hgihway speeds.
I got the flange for my 98DI rear d/s from Paul Grant for an excellent price.
Have you tried him?
If you are just concerned with the greasable u-joints, any local driveshaft shop should be able to take care of that without having to pay for shipping as well.

I did e-mail Paul Grant yesterday. Couldn't find a phone number. Nothing yet. I work in the IT world so I'm use to e-mail replies within the hr max. I have to remind myself that for a lot of people e-mail is a once a day if not more kind of thing.
I agree 100%. I wasn't going to touch his comment cause I thought it was idiotic. The DII shaft is a good shaft. Especially for someone that does mild offroading and doesn't want that added rotating mass and potential clearance issues of a bigger heavier shaft.

why don't you just rebuild the shaft you have? surely you can get the ujoints and centering ball kit locally.
Welcome to my world.
I've already ordered up the rear links from Rovertracks to bring the rear pinion back down.
