Default Running Boards

I need to put running boards on my 98 Discovery I so my wife can get in. I don't want to spend a lot of money so I wanted to buy used ones if I can. My question is, does it have to be from a 98 Discovery I or would running boards from other years work? Anyone know where I can find a set of running boards for my truck cheap?

Thanks for your response. If I can fit something from an older model on my truck that should help when calling junk yards for parts. I won't be going off road anytime soon so I'll be ok with running boards.

Any '94-'99 D1 running boards will fit. I'd post first on the forums in the wanted sections, a lot of people take them off.
Also post on craigslist wanted, someone may have some sitting around.
Next would be checking the junk yards where you get the parts yourself, they are generally a lot cheaper. For example, my local Pull-a-part charges $16 for them.
Be sure you get the mounting brackets.
