Default Series 1 or RRC Brush Guard?

Hey Guys!I pulled this brush guard off of a Series 1 Land Rover. Someone told me that it actually belongs to a Range Rover Classic. When I pulled it, I thought it looked like it was riding a little high, but it was hard to tell because the hood was out of place making it hard to gauge the original proportions. I've never seen a Series 1 with this guard on the internet, and it sure looks a lot like the ones on an RRC. Are the bolt holes that hold the guard in place the same distance between each other in both models? The guard is unmodified as far as I can tell. Thanks in advance!

Looks Iike RRC to me but if the mounting is unchanged it might be from a defender

It's from an RRC. You should probably be careful of the distinction between a "Series 1" and a "Discovery 1", because there is a yuuuuuuge difference. That being said, if you could get this brush guard to fit on a D1, I think it'd look ballin'. I always wanted one on my D1 but alas I only had the classic D1 guard.

Thanks for the distinction. I am new to Land Rovers. I am a Jeep guy. After seeing so many beautiful Rovers sitting at the junkyard, I finally decided to start rescuing some parts before they turn into scrap. This was my first foray into the Rover world. Lots to learn. And yes, when I removed this brush guard it bolted right in as if it was stock. It only looked sort of out of place because it was sitting higher on the hood than I would have expected.

Yes the mounting holes and everything seems to be from the factory. The one thing that had me doubting it was an RRC was the curves at the top of the guard that most of them seem to have. The Defender guard pictured here seems to be more in line with what I have:

Sorry for the late reply. Thought I already had, only to find out it never posted. Anyway, thank you for your responses.

Thanks for the info! And yes it fit perfectly, no modifications or anything. It looked stock except for the way it sat on the vehicle which looked a little high.

As I mentioned above, it attached to the vehicle like it was stock.

The other thing that has me confused is most RRC guards I've seen have a slight bend in the tubing at the top on either side as illustrated here:

If you look at the one I have it is straight in that area, more like the one fitted here:

So many possibilities......
