I think the Hellas are 500's. 500FF or whatever it is. They were already installed when I picked the truck up. It's the same set-up that I had on my TJ, and I'm pretty sure those were 500's too.

It isn't sold yet. For some reason, that CL post was not actually posting on CL. The URL worked fine, but searching on CL wouldn't show it. I waited a few days, tried some different things, but eventually ended up making a new, less detailed post (may have been too long the first time). And even with the new post, the pictures aren't showing up sometimes. I've always had good luck with CL, but now it's just being retarded. Oh well. Here's the new link again:

1997 Land Rover Discovery LSE

And the extra pictures:

Edit: Repaired link in first post, so it goes to the current CL ad.

Well, she's gone. We had our ups and downs, but overall it was a good run. And I sent her away in better shape than I got her.

Peace out!

Glad to hear of your sucess. Keep at it, you'll be grabbing one of those MOD's, they have less miles, more features and have been properly maintained. They ship them by international freight containers on a container ship that you can actually track on-line then go to a stateside port and get placed in Customs Hold until you show up escorted to accept it if and when the paperwork is completed and approved.

John claimed it wwas comparable to buying one here price wise but a much more sound purchase based on the above info concerning their care by the Ministry of Defense technicians. John's has a 28vdc system and is ssturdy as hell. Crosses creeks with no problems. It is a diesel with a hand crank capability with the full canvas. Awesome military vehicle.

Thanks Danny. They've got some pretty cool trucks on that site. A few of them look like they were driven straight in off the battlefield. Be the only one in your neighborhood with an armored Land Rover! Complete with desert camo netting.

That's it, the one I was talking about. I have to think its probably pretty used up, but it would sure be fun to drive that monster around.
