I was hoping you could get me a truck driving job when we finally move up there but oh well.
I'll prob wind up doing what I'm doing now, which ain't bad, I like it.
There are companies hiring OTR drivers. I couldn't take the schedule with my military obligation, only a couple of years left until 20, then I'll decide if I stay in another 10.

Holy crap man, I dont like the home made snorkel, or the ghetto stereo.
I do like the cloth seats though.

Yes the RRC has a CDL, yes you want it, you dont need to be crazy off roading to need it, deep sand, snow, mud, etc.
Just make sure you move the shifter through all the gears once a month to keep it from rusting up.
My fav place for wheeling is the trail around the Air National Guard air gunnery range.
Its 18 miles and takes over a hour.

I've seen that listing and I'm not a fan of the vacuum looking snorkel thing, totally home made looking. The lime green engine paint is......well why is all I came up with.

Phil, don't know about the bridge, most routes are headed south towards Saginaw/Flint/Motor City.

I'm still shopping, just a lot of bad timing and being busy. I've been interested in at least a couple of each D1's or RRC's but they either sell or the sellers never respond to emails (and have no other contact info). Mainly been hunting craigslist but also checking forums. If anyone has any other places to look I'm keen to know.

Anyway, was in Europe for ~2 weeks in Dec and while I was there in the UK I went to Conventry to the Transportation Museum. As I arrived there was some sort of Land Rover meet ending. I managed to snap several pics before they left, I'll have to start a gallery and post them.

So, I'm still shopping and I've still not leaned totally one way or the other...RRC or D1. I'm keen on a couple RRC's right now but in the one ad the guy left no contact info and has not responded to several emails. The other is a '90 around Chicago and it's very nice but I think the price is too high. And he's reposted it twice, up'ing the price each time. Original asking was $3800 now it's up to $4300 and he's not done anything more.

I'm mainly searching Craigslist as Autotrader seems to be primarily dealers. Other than forums, any other places to search? I've expanded my search too....Denver, NC...I'm gonna be in CO in March so what the hell, might as well look out there. My BiL lives out there too so easy to make a trip.

Another question I don't think I asked....any reason to NOT buy a '94 or '95 D1?

Any other help or input is always appreciated.

Cheers.

Jack

There is a RRC for sale here in GR, to much money but low miles.
1993 Land Rover Range Rover County - Your Search Stops Here - $8998 (grand rapids)
If you're looking for a project I know of a '95 that might be for sale or trade.
