Question Snapped axle shaft need help determining which Axle Parts to replace (pics)

The garage just finished replacing my clutch and started to replace my pads and rotors when they found that my axle shaft was broken. The wheel bearings are also toast and have destroyed the inside of the hubs. This is probably due to me not tightening the wheel bearings appropriately. Both axle shafts(yes left and right side. Right wheel fell off on the lift and the left feels like it is about to as well) appear to broken on the end closest to the outside. The garage isn't clear on which Parts to buy, and I'm trying to be reasonable.

So my question is based in the pictures which parts do I have to replace?
Axle stubs? Axle shafts? Cv joints? Hubs and and wheel bearings of course.
And us the axle shaft separate from the cv joint?
Thank y'all very much

This is a easy one.
Replace the stub axle.
Stub Axle - Front (Part # FTC3154) - Land Rover axles & casings-cv joints-bearings from Atlantic British
Replace the CV joint.
CV Joint (TDJ000010A Same Fit As Part # TDJ000010) - Land Rover axles & casings-cv joints-bearings from Atlantic British
I am not saying to buy the parts from AB, just those are the parts you will need.
The parts of the bearings stuck to the stub axle are the inner race, they can be chiseled/ground off but if you nick the stub axle the grease will leak out and water will get in and ruin the bearings.
If the shop is good (and so far it does not look like they are because they left those bearing parts on) they could get the races off and clean it up and make it work.
I am betting the bearings welded themselves to the stub axle, and then seized completely and thats what snapped the axle.

Here is what the whole front axle looks like, you can buy a rebuilt from AutoZone for $100.

You may need a hub too, depending what the inside of it looks like. I'm guessing not good since the bearing got left on the stub axle.

Yeah.....how the heck?!?!?

I agree. You might need a new hub and bearings...and....

Read over the RAVE in the tech section...you might need more parts then what Spike mentioned.

quick way to do it is to pull the 12 point bolts from the flange of the swivel ball (right side of the yellow bracket), disconnect the entire hub assembly (brake, tie rod, and drag link) and pull it out. Do the same thing to a donor and swap-a-roo.

You're also going to need hubs:
Hub And Stud Assembly - 1987-1999 (Part # FTC0942) - Land Rover hubs from Atlantic British

And possibly bearings:
Bearing Stub Axle Swivel Pin Housng (Part # FTC861) - Land Rover axles & casings-cv joints-bearings from Atlantic British
Hub Bearing - Inner/Outer - 1987-1999 (Part # RTC3429) - Land Rover axles & casings-cv joints-bearings from Atlantic British

Again, you can purchase from any source, AB is just easy to reference.

I'm stunned you didn't hear any strange noises or handling characteristics that might allude to the condition of your hubs and bearings.

I've got a lot (if not all) of the seals and gaskets new. I also have the stub, CV, axle and hub cheap enough. If you're interested send me an email or give me a call and we can work out a package for you.
Cheers,
Paul

Cosigned. Get the package deal from Paul, the parts he'll send along will be good used parts at a fraction of the cost of buying everything new.

And man do I mean just about everything.

Are you running a locker? If not I'd pull the diff and inspect the spider gears as well.
