I am amazed that they still call it a off road truck, it had street tires, no tow hooks, transfer case was in low and the Terrain Response had the thing lifted as high as it could and he still could not get through the snow.
It's all in the tires. 18-20" all seasons are not going to get you anywhere.

I live farther north than the lot of you and I didn't get any more snow. It's ok though we've got plenty.

I agree 100%, and I was thinking about what you said earlier as I was snowblowing the driveway after the snowplow finally plowed my street and put a nice 4ft bank at the end of my driveway.

The DI came with these from the factory as well as the early DII with the 16" rim.

The DII with the 18" rim came with these.

The Freelander came with these.

Here is what is on the LR4.

So judging by the tires alone which model of the Discovery was better suited for offroad use coming from the factory?

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

just get one of those gorilla type mounts and you can hang it from the mirror or adjust it to go elsewhere.

Love the videos, wish we would get some snow like that most we have had all year was about 7-9". What is the big suction cup device in the center of your windshield? Reason that I am asking is my Disco has the same huge mark but I no longer have whatever gadget the PO had

things commonly suction cupped to the window:
notepad
GPS
satellite radio
cell phone/ipod holder
radar detector (although those usually have 2 smaller ones).

Spikes looks like a satellite radio or a notepad.

We have yet to get enough snow this season to have as much fun as Spike is having.

There was a snow/ice storm in November that had me shuttling neighbors from the ferry terminal (their cars were stuck), and chuckling at the sight of not one but TWO Jeep Cherokees in a ditch near my house. It only lasted a couple days.
