Default Something fun for once

So, as the majority of you know im sure, im not allowed to spend any money on the truck for a while. Something about saving because we're trying to buy a house, i dont know, i never listen. The upshot is, i'm on to free projects! My friend works in the textiles industry and sourced me a fabric for my headliner, it's a little too narrow, but free is free. So wherever it comes up short i'll just do some patching or whatver, but how bad *** is this gonna look?

I am super pumped. I'm also gonna cover my homemade sub box in this stuff too to match.

and i have a pair of hellas in the mail as a bday present, so these things should tide me over until the coffers open back up! I'll keep everyone posted

Also, im gonna try and get to rausch creek for at least a day trip the weekend of 7/23-24 if anyone is around. It's tentative now, but i'd lock it in if i knew i could go with people who knew what they were doing....cuz that aint me

Im soooo pumped. Im not allowed to talk about where the fabric came from (like fight club) but the back is carbon fiber woven. It's ridiculous material. I almost feel like i need to find a cooler application for it considering how cool the material is

don't use it for your headliner if its not wide enough, paint the headliner (search for threads), cover the box.

Well, it happened. And i Can officially say, that doing the headliner with a fabric that isnt meant for headliners SUCKS. It's super difficult, it doenst stretch, makes lots of wrinkles, doesnt hide any imperfections, takes WAY more time to put down because of how painstakingly perfect you have to be to avoid the inevitable wrinkles but it's done. The two strips width wise went pretty well i think, you tell me

i like it, wish i would have had it for my dash i just painted, that would have looked great on the wood trim and center console.
