Default Source For Door Moisture Barrier

Hi,

After pulling my driver/passenger door panels off a couple times for various repairs, the brittle plastic moisture barriers are mostly shredded.

Has anyone managed to find a source for a similar material that would work to replace the original stuff?

Thanks!

- Chris

Default good old home depot...

painters plastic drop cloth (polyethelyene sheeting) ....go with the thick stuff at about 8 or 10 mil. It comes is large rolls for commercial applications of folded sheets for diy at hope jobs.

OR

try this out???? I have never used it in this application so I have no idea how well it would stick... http://www.homedepot.com/Paint-Drop-...atalogId=10053

I'm just going to go to home depot and walk around/ask someone to show me a material similar to the one the barrier is made out of. Then just cut to fit and transfer the little speaker cutout.
What do you guys think the black sealant is? At least in my car it is black RTV lookin stuff

Thanks.

I'll go check out the local Pro Build and/or Home Depot this weekend and see if they have something that closely matches the thickness of the original.

It does appear to be an RTV adhesive.
