Spare tire carrier
Can you fit the alloy wheels to your spare tire carrier? I had to use my spare because I ran over a nail but my alloy wheel won't fit. By will not fit I mean I use the steel lug nuts instead of the SS capped ones and it doesn't secure the wheel tight enough where the alloy wheel stops wiggling. My spare tire's rim is kind of like a steely, I use the spare tire cover that just covers the rim (it says Land Rover and it's grey) it doesn't fit on my alloy I know but I was just letting you know what my wheel looks like on the spare. Am I just slow? I feel like I shouldn't even be posting this..
It will fit, you use the spare tire lug nuts to hold the flat on the carrier, use the alloy lug nuts to hold the spare on the truck.
The spare tire lug nuts are not road wheel safe, they will hold the alloy onto the spare carrier, I've done it.

Reviving an old thread...is there a washer to use when securing alloys to the rear carrier?
I've honestly never looked at the spare in the four years I've had the truck, and the helper monkeys at the local tire shop stripped the threads. I replaced the mount and have hex nuts, but they're so small that they seem to recede into the lug holes when I tighten them. What am I missing?
