Hello again, I've been having a problem with my 95 disco stalling out, back firing, idling slow, i can get up to speed with ease its just stopping at a light or stop sing...

I've already replaced the vacuum hose, cleaned the Mass Air Flow, cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve, put in dry gas, fuel filter replaced.... if yall have any ideas on how to fix it please let me know.

Sounds like a TPS issue. Can you get live data on the TPS? Do you have a DVOM(digital multimeter) to check values across the TPS as you operate it?

 

I have a '96 with OBDII, but I believe the '95 has OBD codes also, but you have to count blinks on a gadget under one of the seats. Have you checked the codes ? It does sound like a vacuum leak somewhere. That would make it backfire and idle poorly.

You can have a bad TPS without throwing a code. Usually you get a code.

 

Maybe. It doesn't hurt to look under the seat and check. I think there is no counting... I think it's one or two 7 segment LEDs and just shows you a number.

 

she's not throwing codes... I tested the vacuum at the top of the plenum chamber and with a vacuum gauge and got a reading of 0...

 

backfiring can be a timing problem.

 

At idle? It should be like 17~22 inHg at idle (or at least my 95 is and it runs great). A bad vacuum leak would most certainly cause poor performance.
