Suggestions on where to go?
Hello, I have a 96 Disco I, and was hoping to find out, exactly how much is required for an oil change. I saw the posts about the larger filters and the 15w-40 for the oil, but nothing about the amount needed...
Secondly, my rear windows work, but my front ones do not. I checked the fuses, they are all good. When I push the button for the windows, I hear a clicking of the relay on the ECU. I pulled it out a few times now, and all is well. No bad solder spots or anything. Where would you go from here?

With a large filter, somewhere around 7 to 7 1/2 quarts. I use a NAPA 7014, which is huge. You'd think it would take a full extra quart, but I use the dipstick determine how full it is and whether I need to add more or not. I want it near the top of the range on the dipstick, but not so full the rod ends are dragging in the oil or foaming it from windage. It's easier to add a half quart than it is to drain overfill. There's no risk running a half quart low while you check the level after it goes a few miles and warms up.
For the windows, I suppose you could pop the door panels and check out what's going on with the motors. Try wiring them direct to 12V. If they run, work back from there.
