Suprise Suprise TO ME
Well....today I decided to detail my rover and what not...give it a good wax job and vacuumed it.
Found the owners manual and service manual....to my surprise in the owners manual the service record history book was in there as well...it is a California vehicle and it has all service records stamped all the way to 75,000 miles...every single service between 0 and 75K was done by the SAME dealer. I took possession of these fine preowned land Rover at 100K..and at 90K new water pump/head gaskets were done...I think this reassures me about the reliability of MY land rover...it has not skipped a beat since I got it

You got a good one!
The first new D1 I had, I also gave the new owner all service paperwork (binder). It is rare to find a used car that has full history. Give more value to the vehicle.....

Your so lucky. I bought a reposessed piece of !@#$ because my nice 97 Spruce green machine caught fire. This 99D1 has been a headache since day one. It was the only Disco within a resonable range so I bought it thinking I could just use my 97 parts to get it in good shape. The engine is near shot. Seems like it was overheated a few times giving the condition of the rod bearings. Anyways I'm headed to Korea next year and plan on selling it. I'm going back to Bronco. I hope to find a nice restored 77 when I get back from Korea. As for the owners manual, thats great. I bought mine on Ebay for $20.
I am never selling this Rover...it saved my life during the Joplin Tornado.
Bronco's are def nice rigs...I've always been a Rover fan and I do not think I can go to something else unless its a 4 door Rubicon
And the kicker is....I got this rig for $2800 bucks since the clear coat was faded
(been a year since I got this)
IT DOES NEED CATS REPLACED...already got them..just need to install them and we are complete

I understand what you mean by this sentence, but something about advocating for dealer service just doesn't sound right. Nice when you buy one I suppose. Let others pay for the expense.
With these machines...it means a lot....because most people wont attempt working on them because of the name (eventhough they are simple) so it is nice reassurance that at least the SUV was kept in line with the factory recommended intervals...especially by the same dealer
which makes me...super happy
