Default Switch and Gauge Placement

I'm getting ready to make some pretty significant mods to my 95. One of the many things I'm going to do is start installing lights on a new roof rack and gauges for temp and oil pressure. I'm struggling with where to put all these and still keep the dash looking professional. Any suggestions on where these should go and/or pics of your set up? Thanks, gents

I am looking at gauges also, and same requirements(clean and without clutter). I have just about decided to do the pillar mount, because there is not a whole lot of choices. I don't want to put black mount on the alpaca pillar, so I need to find a paint that will match up. Someone on here did this and it looked pretty good.

I'm thinking about placing a 2 gauge, 3 rocker switch panel where the placard is that has the CDL engagement instructions. Not sure how that will look though.

I designed a switch panel that holds three carling style switches, and sell them on ebay.

As far as gauges go, I use a 2.25" 3in1 gauge for my TDI, giving me EGT/boost/water temp.

You might also consider the scangage. There's nothing worse than a huge ridiculous gauge set bolted into the dash.

Ordered! I went with the 2.25" oil and water temp gauges. I found a write up about installing the gauges on the instrument cowl. Gonna see how that looks.

Old pic before all the senders were installed, which is why the oil pressure and trans temp gauges are pegged.

I think I've decided to go with something similar to this guys set up. I love the way he integrated everything. My gauges are a bit bigger, but I think it'll still look really good.
