Default Switching to synthetic gear oil- question

Going to switch to synthetic, probably Royal Purple 75w140, in my front and rear differentials. Any problem with draining the old and filling up w/ the new, or do I need to clean it out somehow?

No problems until you need to drain out the $150 worth of gear lube you put in because you went wading or there is a seal you need to replace.

I used Mobil One75/140 in my T/C, it was pretty cheap. Still got the 75w90 Valvoline dinolube in the diff's for now. The Mobil One quieted the T/C down nicely. Diff's doing fine on the lower viscosity.

$150? Hadn't priced it yet, just researching on the web. Time to shop around.

$20 per quart, you need 7qts to do both diffs and the t-case.
