I did my gaiters a long time ago so I dont know why I didnt then either, oh well, such is life.
Maybe I'll ask for a swivel ball for Christmas, and then another one for Fathers Day, and then the seal kit for Valentines day.
No hurry on the MAF, its for my spares shelf and mines in good nick but I know it wont last forever.

Its not about safety when it comes to the swivel *****, its about saving yourself a butt ton of work.
It is a fairly big job to replace the swivel *****, you need to remove the CV joints, the track rod, wheel bearings and then put new seals on, adjust the swivel pre-load and install new shims...if you are going to go cheap buy the gaiter kit to "stop" the leak, otherwise do it right the first time because this is not a job you want to do again in 6 months.
The swivel's get pitted from road salt etc. and thats what causes them to leak 98% of the time.
Used ones are going to be pitted or close to it and odds are will leak again in no time.

The only problem with buying used ones off of the internet is you have zero idea what shape they are going to be in.
If a guy could go to a U-Wrench it and inspect them before buying sure, go for it, but when at someone else's mercy who is half way across the country and does not give a rats *** about you or the next guy...buyer beware.
