swivel pin housing gear oil capacity?
i think 140 weight in the rear might be too high a viscosity to lube the wheel bearings properly..has anybody had problems running 90 weight?
I have been running 85w-140 for 2 years now with no problem, even in the winter time.
The only thing I notice is when its really cold and it has sat overnight the truck will not idle itself out of its parking spot, I will have to give it gas to move, but this is in near zero temps.
The thicker lube will quite things up and reduce drive line slack.
I can almost guarantee you thats what they used because of all the hard wheeling.
If it makes you feel any better DiscoMike uses 75w-140 in a full syn, I use it in dino.
