Default Tape Deck - will not play or eject

EDIT: Bad Belt - part no. CNT1046
son of a..... https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...ve-belt-64306/ - I knew I saw this years ago - Im blind now

Orig: tape deck has tape stuck in it. Will not play or fast forward/rewind, just keeps switching sides back and forth. I would imagine this is a snapped belt issue. Also the tape will not eject (should be able to get that out with small needle nose).
Anyone deal with this?

These things are 25 years old at this point, I wouldn’t trust mine not to eat a cassette and all illumination is burned out at this point. There was a Land Rover specific guy a few years ago you could send your unit to, and he’d repair and even update with an aux in for your phone. I suspect your best bet at this point is to find one of those guys on eBay to whom you can send your 80s 90s radio to for repair. I contacted one of those guys about three years ago and he was totally cool with refreshing that pioneer unit that came in the US discos and 95 RRCs.

If you have a CD player that powers up, splicing in audio that would go to the head unit is a very easy way to add bluetooth. Can use power from the CD player feed.

Just in case anyone was still curious about the routing, here it is. I had it incorrectly installed as well and couldn't quite figure it out till i found it in the actual radio manual

Mine, the radio art still works, as does the weather part. I haven't tried the cassette or the CD but I bet they would fail. The CD unit is under the pass seat and has the cartridge in it, no CD's. I did have to go through the dealer to get the code as it was locked when I got the truck. Code still works!!
