Terrafirma build.....Part 1.....Rear Done
I think I paid, in combination, around $300, $250 for the arms and the bushings are probably around $60 or more...? I bought the entire bushing kit.
I am looking to get disconnects in the future. I've seen the X-Engineering one...which i like, but costly. I would like the simple Jeep set up where, you can just disconnect, via pin, and hang them on the frame somehow. To get to our destination, there are a lot of freeway and twisties, so i NEED those swaybars. Thou, I do love the Disco Lean (with no attached sways)..

I have a set of orange polys I will be taking off the 3-link cause they are not the right size if anybody needs a set, when I get around to it.
I would keep the sway bars if you plan on towing or do a home made disconnect which is pretty easy on the d1's.

D1 disconnects are easy to make. You can get the bushings for $.75 each from RovahFarm. Everything else can be had from a hardware store.
Here's a pic of the individual parts you'll need.
Four 5/8" fender washers
Two hairpin cotter pins
Two 5/8"x3" clevis pins
Two ~1.5" pieces of steel tubing, I forget what size
4 sway bar bushings from RovahFarm

Here's a pic of them assembled.

I used to make these but got lazzzzzzzy.

Basically the sway bars are connected to the axle using ball joints. You replace the bolt connecting the sway to the ball joint with the clevis pin. When I get home I'll post some better instructions.
