Default Terrafirma TF204

Finally saved up some money for a lift and found a new terrafirrma tf 204 on eBay that I can afford. I just want to make sure that's a good kit since I've seen it on other sites for more money. I do plan on adding a bumper and winch so I want the HD.

Thanks for your input,

Mike.

Yes the Terra Firma kit is a very good kit.
I do not know which one that you are looking at is, but the TF is very good.

The one I was looking at sold but there still is a medium duty for sale, but I plan on adding a front and rear bumper by summer time. Anyone have experience with a medium duty lift and adding bumpers? I just don't want to regret not getting the HD a year from now.

If you are adding a winch get the HD, if only the bumper I think you will be fine with the MD.

Lift will be here Thursday. I ended up going with the HD. I will have a bumper by the end of next month and hopefully a winch by summer time so then there will be some weight on it. I am on a budget so things have to get done one at a time.

Anyone do a HD lift without adding any extra weight?

Installed the lift last night. The truck rides amazing now, so much better than before. With no extra weight the HD springs aren't too stiff so I'm extremely happy I went with the HD.

Some before and after heights (to the top of the wheel arches if anyone is interested.

Before:
Passenger Front - 30.5"
Driver Front - 31.75"
Passenger Rear - 31.25"
Driver Rear - 32.5

After: (measurements taken without moving truck)
Passenger Front- 35.5"
Driver Front - 35.75"
Passenger Rear - 35"
Driver Rear - 35.25

I have before and after pictures I'll post later in the day.

How hard of a job was it? How long did it take you? How many helpers and Pepsi's did it take?

Before: http://plixi.com/p/80208738
After: http://plixi.com/p/80208811

It took a little over 3 hours with no helpers but I took my time. Everything came off and went in really easy. Having a full shop at my disposal was nice, but it would have been just as easy to do in a driveway with a socket set, some wrenches, floor jack, two jack stands and the bottle jack.
