Are there any rear brake upgrade options?

Default Are there any rear brake upgrade options?

I've done the D90 front brake upgrade already with calipers and discs. Now I'm redoing the rear and was wondering if there are any other Rover parts available for the rear. If not I'll go with high quality rotors and Ferodo pads and maybe braided brake lines with synthetic fluid.

Also and there any seals I'll need if I change wheel bearings at the same time?

Redwinches in the UK sells a bracket to install front calipers on the rear. If you kept your original 42mm piston D1 calipers, they would work on the rear with these brackets, and the standard rear rotors. I do not have these brackets or first hand knowledge. I understand the bracket does not accomodate the ABS sensor, so you'd have to drill or modify it to do so, or go without ABS if you haven't already disabled it.

The other upgrade I know of is EBC yellow stuff pads. There's nothing wrong with Ferodo, but I'm pretty sure the yellow stuff pads have more friction. They were a noticeable upgrade in friction vs. EBC green stuff on the front (I have not tried them on the rear yet). They will dust, but that might be more of an issue for D2 owners.

Rear pads are DP4663R
Front pads are DP4814R

110 rear brakes. Use Disco front rotors.

Lucky 8 is a distributor for red winch, I spoke with Justin about the brackets but he never got back with a price

I emailed Lucky 8 to see if they have them. Seems like it would be simple to install too, but I would like to keep ABS though. Are there any advantages to not having ABS in the rear?
When I upgraded to D90 fronts it made for much better braking.

I wouldn't upgrade the rears if you already did the D90/110 front. You probably won't have enough master cylinder to push the fluid.

Ok, I hadn't thought about the master cylinder not being strong enough. Would i need to upgrade it as well? Lucky 8 can ship the bracket in but doesn't keep them in stock by the way.

There no real "confirmed" upgrade for there D1 MC. Someone has the 110 rears on a NAS 90 and says it is definitely an upgrade but the MC on the D90 is different than the D1's AFAIK.
