Excellent pics! This is what I like to see!

You need to lop off that lower spoiler and get yourself some more clearance!

Default Hers' a Few More

The spoiler is completely off mine now as is the factory running boards and the rusty brush bar assembly.

It is completely stock except for springs and shocks. I can lay on my creeper and slide from front to back or side to side. When I first got it I could not even get under it without jacking it up. I weighed 285 then.

I was diagnosed with Diabetes and wife and I went on a much stricter meal plan. Used to just eat and drink whatever I wanted. I was working on contracts that included complete perdiem and I ate like a horse and drank as much as I wanted to. Went from 235 to 285 over a ten year period. Back down to 235 and will turn 60 at the end of May.

The guy with the Freelander just demostrates that a Man that Knows His Machine and Environment can go places others cannot especially if it is a newbie with a frozen CDL and a poorly maintained Discovery they just bought and do not understand how it is supposed to work.

Here's a few more PICS.

No kidding. I had an AMC Eagle back in the day that I used to abuse on a regular basis. I remember doing some off road with a guy in a jacked up Ford pickup and a jeep. I did a river crossing and a climb that stopped them both. Of course its amazing what you can do in a car you don't care about. Lol

A few more of the Club Pics:

There are three of Joihn's MOD that replaced his Freelander. The other two were the DiscoII in front of me that got stuck twice, once with a new girl driving and the second time with the guy that was trying to sell it to the new girl. They went thru the mudhole just before me.

When I saw how bad they got stuck, I knew I needed to use good momentum management techniques. I went ahead and selected the Low Range on the transfer case and engaged the CDL. Thewn I placed the shifter in 2nd gear, accelerated on the firm land to about 20 MPH and just held it there. I hit the puddle with a bit of a splash, floored the gas and held it. Threw some mud and went right onb thru with no problem.

That was my first time off road in the Rover, but I have owned a Big Block Dodge RamCharger on 33's, a fullsize 351 Bronco XLT and a Pathfinder, as well as a Porsche 928 and a Benz 420SEL so driving is quite a natural pasttime for an old redneck like me.

Like a pig in mud, I had a good time.

Here she is in current state. Cut off the lower "tongs" so to speak to maintain the clearance. Shoved the bullbar so hard in Moab that it was touching the factory bumper.
