Tiny puddle kills my Disco?
Drove over a 2 inch puddle going about 35 mph and as soon as the puddle sprayed under my rig it stalled right out. Fired it back up and it ran like garbage, missing, back firing and would only ago about 5mph and stalling. After about 15-20 minutes everything was fine,I figured whatever it was dried itself out. This same scenario happened once before. Does anyone have an idea as to what it could be? CPS maybe? Only codes I get are miss fire codes, they clear up when the engine smooths back out. I have an ultragauge. 1996 D1 with 113k. Thank you all in advance!

I'll order some kingsborn 8mms. I also have an issue I think may be separate. I was driving for about 20mins one night when my engine just turned off, and would not catch but would turn over very strongly. When I listened and could not hear the pump running I threw in an aftermarket pump and filter from auto zone and went on my way. I now have a hard starting issue, around three attempts before the engine catches. I'll check the fuel pressure asap,

OK new plug wires and still runs like crap when high in humidity. When I increase the throttle I get a lot of back firing/bogging and it does not want to accelerate. Idle is just fine. Does this sound like a wet crank position sensor? If I stomp on it in a fit of rage it will back fire though the intake then throw misfire codes. The ecu seems OK as well. It is snowing here in NJ and have to drive my girl friends scion.
I should note that I believe it is an issue beneath the land Rover as I have power washed the engine bay looking for a power steering leak and the truck ran just fine.
