That won't work well on most D, and E, rated tires, 8 or 10 ply. You will have too much air, ride rough and wear the center tread thin before the outside ribs get much wear on them and it will ride like a tank cause most 8 and 10 ply tires push 60 to 75 pounds of max. air pressure.

True, running over inflated, as well as under inflated, can reduce the owner's life also.

ESPN, you're not going to get an accurate response on a forum about your tire pressure, for the reasons I outlined. Plus the additional reason that you still haven't fully identified your tires. There are at least four different Timberline styles.

Go outside and read the model/article number off your tire, it will be something like this, 076-441. It should also be on your sales receipt.
Look up the axle weights in your owners handbook (assuming you are not carrying around extra weight), then call Dayton tech support, give them the information and they will tell you what you should be running for pressure front an rear.
If you ask them to, they will also probably give you the correct pressure for varying loads so you can correctly adjust the pressure if you add weight to the vehicle.
I've done this for my Cooper tires and it took about 5 min to get the right information.

According to this, it says it has a ply rating of SL or standard load. There is no ply rating on the side of the tire.

Those should not have been put on your truck, they are passenger car tires and not rated for your heavy, top heavy vehicle.
The books call for an 8 or 10 ply tire not a 4 plys which is a saftey issue,
If you bought those, I would go back to the tire shop that installed them and talk with the manager about up-grading to an 8 ply.

They came with the rover when I bought it.

Based upon today's ratings, they no longer use the number of plies like 8 or 10 but load ratings:

Tire Tech Information - Load Range/Ply Rating Identification

What service descriptor is appropriate for a Discovery I SE if you are running P235R70 16's ???
