Question Tire Question

Would 255/75-17 tires fit a disco 1? Got a friend who works at a jeep dealership. He gets free tires for his jeep. He's gonna give me his bf mud terrains only 20k miles on them lots of life left.

I know I'd have to get 17in rims.

No idea, I will say that 3 times people have told me "they won't fit." I tried anyway and 3 out of 3 times, they fit. One way to find out dude.

First you'd have to find a 17" wheel for a D1. I don't believe one exists. So I'll say No, they wont fit.

Looks like it's about a 32" tire. You'd probably have to do about the same things you'd have to do to fit 265/75-16

I'm no expert... I never ran tires that big on my D1 when I had it... but I think the usual things would be:

Trim front bumper end caps
Adjust steering stops
trim rear quarters (camel cut)
A 2" lift. (maybe).
