Default Torque converter remains locked

Hi,

My auto transmission just started acting funny. When driving at around 65 and taking the foot off the gas pedal, the engine is braking the car as if the torque converter remained locked. It does not happen when slowing down from a slightly lower speed and acts normally when accelerating by locking in at about 84km/h (about 50mph).

The transmission oil level is slightly high, oil color is normal. Transmission was flushed and filter changed about 4000m ago.

What should I check next?

Thanks for any hint.

At this point you need to go to a tranny shop and have them test it for a replacement.
