Transfer case issues?
All right so what I have is a 1998 Land Rover Discovery 1 what I've been having an issue with and whenever I try to shift my transfer case and it either high or low and make this awful planking sound and then finally after doing that for about a month it blew up so I got a new transfer case and transmission went ahead and replace both of them and now I don't have drive or any of my moving gears and I don't know maybe I hook something up wrong or what but I am looking for advice as this is my first discovery and first time being Land Rover owner.

Yes it has ATF in it
Has ATF on bow TC and tranny, but still no moving gears. Has park and neutral.

The transfer case in a D1 takes 80-90w gear oil, NOT ATF. Transmission DOES take ATF.
Though I doubt that is your direct problem. It does sound like the TC is in neutral. As best you can, try to push the lever in the cabin toward the right (passenger) side of the vehicle, and pulled toward the rear of the vehicle (in other words, "down / right") which will be high range / open differential.
