transfer case types?
Defender source is a good place to look. I've got a 1.6:1 in my 90 because the engine only has 68hp with 32" tall tires, stock. If I were to upgrade to a more powerful engine I'd want a 1.4 or 1.2 case. So I'm guessing that others have swapped them out for the same reason. Also some of the bigger rover shops bring in lots of cool stuff all the time.
1.2 is the v8 lowest ratio then 1.4 and 1.6, and yeah I figure shipping at 1- 150 no matter where it comes from but I have a loading dock ship to Maddy so that does make it a little cheaper
Hmmm... has anyone ever seen a 1.003 here in the states? Ideas where I could look?
Did the calculations and that hi range ratio would be perfect for my 6.2 torque curve. We're talking ~28-30mpg highway trips y'all.

You can get gear sets for any of the ratios from Ashcroft.
Ashcroft Transmissions - LT230 ratio changes

at current exchange rate for those gears is $340 usd+ shipping ouch + says you may need an additional gear depending on your t case for the 1.4 set at an additional 45-65 sterling
which is upwards of about another $100 usd
thats good to know, they do have a calculator there though to figure out what you need ratio wise

Yep, just ran the calc. and 1.003 running stock diff ratios and 31" tires (235/75's) lands perfectly in the 1963 rpm @ 70mph. Pretty much perfect.
Although with shipping the ashcroft gear would cost more then my entire engine swap...
