Looks like a drain plug/washer issue to me, but with these trucks.....you just never know.

Well, it appears the plug also had a stainless steel washer instead of copper.

New plug and crush washer are shiny in picture and closest to camera.

Um, that isn't gonna work. The plug is the same but the washer..... it has allot more experience. See the beveled shoulder on the plug, the washer I.D. should just fit over the threads and that bevel presses into the plug's hole.

So the copper washer is incorrect then? That is the washer that came from Atlantic British and i was told that it was the correct washer.

STC1060

But perhaps it should have been part

TYF101170G

Thanks for the help :)

Without ANY dimensions on the TYF101170 part by ANY vender it's hard to say yes. By chance do you have a decent hardware store you could take the plug to? You'd probably find an aluminum or copper washer cheaper than anywhere else and you could test fit it right there! I know I have one in my town I can always rely on for smalls like that.

Yep any good hardware store should have some to choose from.

Just to follow up, Atlantic British did indeed make a mistake and are sending me the correct washer for use with the transmission drain plug the Discovery I 1999 shares with the Discovery II Land Rovers.

The correct part is the transmission drain plug washer STC4099

Thank you all for your help, time, and patience ;)
