Default Trouble mounting my brush guard

Ok so I finally got a brush guard for my Disco 1. Dude I bought it from said it came off a Disco 1, I'm starting to think mabey he meant to say Disco 2, or he completely forgot to bring the brackets.
The holes for the bolts on the underside of the truck(where the bumper hooks to the frame) seems to need a mounting bracket to make the 90 degree turn to meet up w/ the frame of the brush guard. I checked AB and yes indeed, they sell a brush guard mounting bracket kit...for a Disco 2.
Anybody know how to tell if this is a Disco 2 brush guard, and if theres a bracket that converts the two? Or, If its safe/smart to weld the fu*ker on and be done looking at it sit on the garage floor? I can post pics in the morning. Thanks

If it is a OEM DI brush guard it bolts right up.
Remove the 4 bolts that hold the front bumper on, slide the brush guard in place and bolt back up with same said 4 bolts.

Keep in mind that most people selling LR parts/accessories have no idea what they are talking about.
Did you see the donor truck?
I always assume the selling knows nothing.

Yeah, thats what I tied to do, and the angle just isn't right. He said its off his DI but I'm not so sure now.
No, I didn't see his truck. Said he sold it but took this off to sell by itself. I'll try and get pic up when I find my camera.

I found I had to remove the plastic bumper caps (the plastic things, one on each end of the front bumper, driver and passenger side) then swivel the brush guard and put the caps on again after the guard is in place.
