Default Ultragauge & Engine Load

How does the Ultragauge come-up with the engine load percentage? It'll read up in the upper 90's just taking off from a stop. Level ground, 2,500-ish rpms. Running fine and no dragging brakes, bearings, etc.
I haven't gotten around to addressing this yet, Fuel Trim Wacky

I haven't checked load with my ScanGauge in a couple of years and never did so under similar conditions.

It does take mucho energy (seen measured by engine load) to move our heavy vehicles from a stop. What is the duration of the 90% load reading? There are options to change the speed of parameter updates on the ScanGauge and the Ultra may have the same.

(Mass flow rate * air temp * ideal gas constant R )/ (engine displacement / 2 * engine speed ) * 100%

The ratio of air flow vs displacement*rpm
