Default Walker versus Magnaflow catalytic converters

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Walker 93236 universal catalytic converters or the Magnaflow 99005HM universal catalytic converters on their Disco 1?

Seems like the Walker catalytic converters easily fit, while the Magnaflows require some welding and additional pieces to fit.

Thank you

I use a universal Magnaflow high flow cat on my car and I'm pretty sure Jake and Brett use them on the Disco. No experience with Walker but I do have a set of their O2 sensors I need to install. I used to work for Tenneco who makes Walker as well as Rancho. I got sweet discounts on my shocks but my cats never went and I'll just go straight pipe if they do. The joys of not having emissions tests!

I went for the Magnaflow 99005HM model and they seem to fit with a little modification due to them being two and a quarter inches in diameter for the piping.

New silencer and two new Magnaflow 99005HM cats cost me $500 for parts and labor

Walker manufactures Magnaflow, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same part.

Also, I'm not to keen on Magnaflow's cats, I had one come apart on a replacement Y-pipe I installed on my SHO some years ago, as did a number of other SHO owners who used that pipe.
