Waterproof your ECU (PRODUCT)
Ran into a new product while purchasing plastic resin for my next project. Thought I would share this. Looks simple, just poor it in.
EpoxAcast® 650 It is used for electrical encapsulation to extend the life cycles and enhance the performance of potted electronic devices.

It is an already enclosed caseing, surrounded by conductive metal, which produces static. I'll bet it works just fine.
"An encapsulant, also know as a potting compound or casting resin, is a liquid resin system comprised of either one or two components that is poured over electrical and electronic components. It can either be in an enclosure such as a plastic shell or case or it is poured into a mold holding the components where the cured material acts as the shell. These encapsulating resins are designed to electrically insulate and environmentally protect the components from moisture, chemicals, mechanical/thermal shock and vibration. This protection allows these electronics to be used in many more applications ensuring reliable, long-term performance."
Everything I have read so far shows that this material is excellent in heat dissipation.

I have used that stuff to waterproof my RC cars and planes electronics before, it works great. I never had any thermal issues using it, my plane speed controller without it would run about 120* with or without it. You can pick it up at most hobby shops I just never thought of using it on the disco you got me thinking now.....
I WAS AN aVIATION ELECTRICIAN IN THE NAVY.
ALL CONNECTORS ON OUR AIRCRAFT HAD POTTING MATERIAL SEALING THE CONNECTOR AND MOST ELECTRONICS HAD SOME TYPE OF ENCAPSULATION.
GOOD RECCOMENDATION I THINK.
