Default What do I do now?

Ok, so this past Sunday I rolled my 97 Disco , luckily my family (all of whom were with me) and myself only received minor cuts and bruising. Anyway, the motor, transmission, various parts (including an almost brand new master cylinder) are all still in good condition. Junk yards around my home town are only offering a minimal amount for it. Any suggestions on where I could sell whats left? Even if I have to part it out myself. Don't misunderstand I'm not expecting a fortune, I just know what parts for these cost new and used. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

A bit more info please. How many miles on the drivetrain? Any aftermarket mods, work done etc? Sorry for your situation, hate to see any rover get put down.

Glad you and the family are ok.

For my reference, what is a "minimal" offer from the local yards?

Sorry to hear that man and I'm glad no one was seriously injured.

As far as parting it out im sure there are plenty of people on here would assist you on that.

I may be interested in your tires and wheels and a few other parts here and there. Cup holders? Rear door inside panel? Any rack or auxiliary lights? I'm also looking for a ladder.

PM me and let me know.

-James

What part of VA are you in? Most scrap yards in VA wont pay anything for vehicles, you'd have better luck using CL to part it out or sell it as a whole vehicle for parts. If you decide to part it out give me a shout, I'm in VA as well and need a few things

Glad no one suffered any serious injuries other than the Rover.

How did you roll it?

One thing to remember if you do part it out yourself. After you strip the motor and other goodies off of it, the body panels, hood, doors, and such are aluminum and that brings a good price from metals recyclers.
