Default What is this part?

Driving from one job to another I heard a clank when I hit a pot hole then dragging. Parked at work tried to look under car a but to see what it was. Not sure what part it is since I was already running late for work couldn't slide under any help would be grateful right about now. Looking to be hanging in between the wheels on one side. At work till midnight so can't really check till I get out

the steering stabilizing
zip tie or safety wire it up till you can repair if stranded

Thanks alot guys for the help. I found some zip ties here at work...ill secure it tonight when I get out

Noodles, slight change of plans... don't secure the damper to the track rod. With your first turn it will just fall back off.
Instead tie/rope it to the Anti-Sway Bar (see pic). A piece of rope is going to work best. This is going to be the same process and effort, but the damper will remain secure (up and out of the way) for the ride home.
