Default What are these connectors for?

I finally got around to hooking up my D2 compass mirror and was about ready to put that big plastic "wing" thing back up on the headliner.

I then realized there were 2 extra connectors, and nothing to connect them to.

Anyone know what these do? The one with the one black wire looks like it is a ground maybe?

It did not come with the little homelink pod. I assume you are asking in reference to the 3 wire? Would not be surprised if that is what that is and it is just not being used.

What about the 1 black wire one?

Default Extra wires

Hello there,

When I recovered my headliner I took pictures of everything, I think this picture might help for you. My first thought was that it was the map light. I could be wrong, I hope the pictures helps.

Brilliant. The single wire is the ground for the dome light. Someone on discoweb just the other day was talking about how that thing grounded.

Yes, that is totally the dome light ground!

That 3wire connector does not look like the one on his homelink though...

Ideas?

When I look at your picture it would seem that the non ground wire was spliced could that be someone's not so handy work?

That was me.

Some rodents decided to make a home in there at some point. The 1 wire ground was almost completely severed. The one on the 3wire was just chewed on, but I spliced it anyway.

I looked at all my other pictures and I can not find anything that looks like that. I was originally thinking the sun visor with lighted mirror but I see no reason why it would be near the center console area. Not sure man

Hey pinkey did you ever look at the rust reno I was doing? She is all good for now, now I just need new tires and a lift.
