Default What's needed for a 2 inch lift

Whats needed for a 2 inch lift on a 97 d1? Do I needed longer brake lines/ radius arms etc etc? What is the biggest tire I can run? I'm planning on getting the old man emu nitro kit or the bilstein kit. I will be doin mild off- roading

none of that stuff. The fairly widely accepted theory is that you can go up to about 3" with out having to correct much else, although at 3" you may want brake lines for articulation. the castor correction and driveline issues dont really start to rear their heads until 3+" so you should be more than ok with a 2" out of box lift. Gte the HD springs if you'll be adding bumpers and winch's etc down the road, medium duty otherwise. One of the more popular tire for the disoc is the 235/85/16 because it's thin and stuffs well, being a thin tire you dont lose anything lock to lock. You can also do a 245/75/16 fairly easy, but when you get to the 265/75 then you need trimming i believe, there's a fitment guide i posted in someone elses thread if you just search tires im sure it'll show up. Dont forget....pics or it didnt happen

As per Truf63....nothing else is needed.

On my first stock '96 Disco, I installed the OME lift and did not have to modify anything. WCB verified that, since they are the experts and whom installed the system.

ha, no i wish. I just pirated it from somewhere else. It gives dudes a good idea of what they're getting into with certain shoes. I think the link is all figured based off stock suspension, but noen the less, yeah helpful. I found it in someone elses thread. I dig it up often enough where i figured i should make it more available.
