You don't need d90 brakes if you've got a dana 60 under the front. I'm certain that whatever brakes that suburban had are monsters compared to rover brakes.

Haha, not yet.
I can only imagine though. The difference between how much truck handles offroad now compared to last year is night and day. I actually rather enjoy how my truck is set up now without a locker. It's fun to see how far I can get without them.....and its pretty far.

Good point, Jafir. It's been a long weekend.

Which doesnt matter if the MC isnt made for them.. There are so many things to think about with complete axle swaps.. And with all the work it would take why stop at a D60 who not just go for portals?

Check out this build one of the more memorable ones in my mind. Sold for 6k which is a steal for the money put into it.

Well after considering the cost and end result I decided that I will probably go no bigger than 33s on the disco. I am toying with the idea of buying a beat *** early 80s long bed yota and making it into a project. The disco is just a little too nice for that. However I would like a exocaged monster on full widths that I can bounce off of anything. Not quite as extreme as the 4 runner though because he has upward of 15k in that truck and has done all work/fabrication himself except the cage so who knows how much labor is in it.

Ill probably get some longer shocks and work on fabbing some rear links and try to gain more wheel travel. That was my biggest weakness. I also have an itch to break out the angle grinder and cut the rear fender off at the bump strip and never worry about rubbing again
