Default when filling fuel, pump stops constantly

So frustrating that I can't get a full tank without having to stand there for 30 minutes trying to fill up!

I've read a dozen threads without a definitive solution to this problem.

It is NOT the pump, because it happens at every station, and does not happen in my Audi at same pumps. I have tried pulling the nozzle out a bit, turning it at an angle, slow flow... all to no avail.

I've read that it could be a blocked vent, need a new gas tank, evap canister, a fuse, the fuel pump itself, low blinker fluid, I've heard it all..

A little help please, before I lose my temper at the station?

IT's got to be the tank vent..There is a vent hose between the top right hand side of the tank and the fuel filler neck... It's probably plugged or crushed...

Two hoses running between the filler neck and the tank, One big one and one small one.. It's the small one...

Cheapest first step is to pour about a 1/8 cup of something like Lucas Injector Cleaner in the two small holes in the filler neck. Let it sit in there until next time you need to add fuel and see if you can fill it ok.

I will check the vents first, then possibly try the Lucas cleaner.. thanks for the suggestions.

I really hope it's not the blinker fluid... lol

Its the vent like Tom said.
It is clogged, the injector cleaner trick works great.

Pour as much card cleaner down the vent as you want, it will end up in the gas tank anyway.

I had exactly the same problem and found the fuel guard had tripped inside the petrol cap there is a reset tool in the tool bag attached is a video to show you how to use it:

my miserable dealer wanted to charge me $261 just to diagnose the problem and didn't bother to mention that this is one of the most common causes

Default Dealer has to deal with that!

I had this problem a couple of years back. I complaied. They fixed it! Now it appears again! Since it a re-occurence type problem, they (Land Rover companty) have to deal with it forever!
