where to buy a whindscreen rubber?
Hello, My D1 has had a crark in the windscreen since day 1, I never really worried too much about it, but now that I'm going off to school I feel the need to replace it. I'm most likely going to buy a windscren from Pull a part! If anyone knows where to buy a rubber seal please let me know!
Thanks

Here is a Uncle Spike tip for you, put full coverage on your truck with glass coverage.
A few weeks later make a claim and get the windshield replaced, then a few weeks after that drop the glass coverage.
The windshield is cheap, the rubber is expensive, like $400.
I have full coverage on my truck, with glass coverage, zero glass deductible, it was $700 to have it replaced, cost me nothing.
Glass coverage on my truck is $24 a year, totally worth it.

It helps to be old when it comes to car insurance.

I watched the guys that run the glass service at pull-a-part north replace a windshied in a D1 a few years ago and it was not as difficult as everyone here tries to make it out to be. I checked with them on a replacement and they would supply a used glass and install it for $135 or about $175 more for a new one. Anyway, I chose to replace mine myself and was able to reuse the trim. The key to having no leaks is to properly clean the frame of the old sealant and make sure the new adhesive is applied evenly.
