With the headliner out for refurbishment, it’s time to go after the water leaks. After endless searches for replacement seals and not wanting to silicone up the roof, I opted for body plugs and to go sans luggage racks.
They dealer went to much trouble on the assembly line- black body wax, silicone, assorted seals and washers- and the water still finds its way in to ruin the headliner.
The gold mine for me, is the clean original paint- that will give me a good goal when buffing out the roof.
If you want to do the same, it’s a clean and reversible way to tend to the water leaks.
