Why is my clock display faded?

Is there a way that I can brighten my clock display on the dash?

You need to replace the bulb. Bulb And Holder Clock (BAU5311L Same Fit As Genuine Part # BAU5311L) - Land Rover bulbs from Atlantic British

heres a tip, if theres a bmw dealer by you they stock that bulb. i know the land rover dealer i dealt with before didnt. just tell em you need a bulb for a early 90's 5 serries obc.

The bulb was NLA from Land Rover for a while. When I pulled the clock out of my 96, I noticed it was a VDO brand. So I did the same thing, I went to an independent BMW garage and he had the exact bulb in stock.
